36 lakh children in the age group of 0-5 will be immunised in 641 vaccination booths under the first phase of Intensive Pulse Polio Immunisation (IPPI) programme in south Kashmir district of Anantnag on January 28.
An official spokesperson here on Tuesday evening said District Development Commissioner, Mohammad Younus Malik chaired a meeting of District Level Task to review the preparations for IPPI programme in the district.
The DDC stressed on the officers of the Health, ICDS, and Education Departments to make the immunization programme a success and leave no stone unturned to ensure that all the children below five years-of-age are fully immunised in the district.
He asked the officers to mobilise their men and machinery and make the vaccination teams robust to make the district polio-free.
